John Stearns, CEO and President
A high-energy innovator, John has more than 20 years experience
in senior executive positions in both domestic and international
organizations, from technology start-ups to turn-arounds in mature
consumer enterprises.
In 1997, John co-founded Arista Systems, providing leading-edge E-learning management software to Fortune 500 clients. Arista was acquired by Digital Think (NASD - DTHK) in June, 2000. John was CEO of Project California, a privately funded industrial development initiative tasked with building California's advanced transportation and telecommunications industries. From 1991 to 1995, John was President and COO of Navigation Technologies in Sunnyvale, CA, the world's leading supplier of digital map databases for automotive navigation, Internet driving directions, and other transportation applications. John spent 15 years with the American Automobile Association (AAA), in successive COO and Group Manager positions with seven auto clubs around the U.S. and as Managing Director, Strategic Planning, Research and Development at national headquarters.
A native of Vermont, John holds an MBA from Rivier College and an AB in Philosophy from Holy Cross College.

Mike Hamerly, Director, Systems Engineering
Mike
has 18 years of diverse experience in the field of learning technologies.
As a military officer, Mike managed development of Computer-Based Training
modules for the Air Force pilot training program.
In civilian life Mike has led teams to develop and implement multimedia training programs for several corporate clients. Since 1995, with the rapid acceptance of the internet media, Mike has focused his work on designing and implementing programs to improve learning and performance.
Today, as Generation21's Director of Systems Engineering, Mike manages all Generation21 Enterprise software development efforts and is a key visionary for future developments and enhancements. He uses his expertise to evaluate the needs of and customize software functionality for Generation21 clients.
Mike has been with Generation21 since 1999. Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1979. Mike is currently a member of the Air Force Reserve and served for 12 years as a pilot and instructor pilot.

Dave Watkins, Director of
Client Relations
Dave has over twenty-five years of experience in the training industry. Prior to joining Gen21, Dave was corporate training manager at a leading insurance services outsourcing company where he also designed, developed and maintained their corporate “virtual” university, which ran on the Generation21 system. Dave acted as instructional designer, course developer and system administrator for this system. Dave also spent twelve years as a classroom instructor and course developer for an insurance agency automation company.
Prior to his entry into the training industry, Dave was public relations and advertising manager for several corporations, as well as a photographer and video producer. Dave lived in Fort Worth, Texas for twenty-five years before moving to Colorado in August 2000 to join the Generation21 Team. Dave has a B.A. degree in English from Illinois Wesleyan University.
